White Columns is New York's oldest alternative art space. It was founded in 1970 by Jeffrey Lew and Gordon Matta-Clark as an experimental platform for artists.
White Columns wished to digitize their physical art archive.
We created the first artist registry of it's kind developed before Flickr and other image services existed. It was the basis for many projects to come. It allowed White Columns or digitize it's existing archive and allow other artists to register and manage their artwork online.
UPDATE: In 2017, we updated the entire registry front end and admin panel with a modern, clean design that's fully responsive.
